Cancellation policy

Consumers have a fourteen-day right of withdrawal.


Right of withdrawal

You have the right to revoke this purchase within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The revocation period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party named by you, who is not the carrier, has or has taken possession of the last goods.


To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Understatement AB, Skånegatan 70, 116 37 Stockholm, Sweden, customer@shopunderstatement.com) of your decision to withdraw from this purchase by means of a clear statement (e.g. e-mail or a letter sent by post). In order to comply with the withdrawal period, it is necessary to send the notification of the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the expiry of the withdrawal period.


Consequences of the revocation

If you revoke the purchase, we will reimburse you all payments we have received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs resulting from the fact that you have chosen a type of delivery other than the most favorable standard delivery offered by us), without delay and no later than within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your revocation of this contract. For this refund, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees because of this refund. We may refuse repayment until we have received the goods back or until you have provided proof that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.


You must return or hand over the goods to us without undue delay and in any case no later than within fourteen days from the day on which you notify us of the revocation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the expiry of the period of fourteen days. You shall bear the costs of returning the goods. You will only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss in value is due to handling of the goods that is not required for testing the condition, properties and functioning of the goods.


The right of withdrawal does not apply to products that are not suitable to be returned for reasons of health protection or hygiene (briefs, bikini bottoms and swimsuits) if their seal has been removed after delivery. 

When returning products that clearly show use, we reserve the right to refuse a refund. 

We accept returns and exchanges within 14 days from the day you receive your order.

The products that you return or exchange have to be in the same condition as when you received them. We do not accept returns for products that have been worn, washed or missing the original packaging and hangtags.

Due to hygiene reasons panties, Swimsuits and bikini bottoms cannot be returned or exchanged.

Warranty claims

If a manufacturing defect is found, Understatement will replace the defective product with a new one. Therefore, be sure to inspect the products thoroughly upon receipt. If a product is damaged or has other defects upon receipt, it must be claimed within 7 days of receipt (if possible). Please contact us, we will be happy to help you.

There is no return label included in your order. To register your return and start the return process, please visit our return page /pages/returns.

You will need to state your order number and your e-mail to be able to register the return.

Once registered, you will receive an automated email with further instructions on how to proceed. Please check your junk mail if you have not received the email within a couple of minutes from registration.

When returning products that clearly show use, we reserve the right to refuse a refund.

If you would like to exchange an item from your order, please start by placing a new order on our website for the correct item you want to exchange it to. You will need to pay for the new order and it will be sent to you right away (once we have received the item to be exchanged we will refund you for that item).

Please note that there is no return or exchange label included in your order.

Then visit our return page 
/pages/returns to start the return/exchange process and register the request. You will need to state your order number and e-mail to be able to register the return/exchange. Make a note of the new order number. Please check your junk mail if you have not received the email within a couple of minutes from registration.

Once we have received the item you want to exchange we will refund you for that item (and also adjust for any discounts).

Outside Sweden:

At the moment we are not able to provide you with a pre-paid return label and therefore you need to pay for your own when sending us a product you want to return or exchange. 

Please note that import duties for a return shipment are not covered by Understatement.


Sweden: 

We offer free exchanges (this means you don't pay for the return shipment of the product you want to change) and for returns, a flat 39 SEK return fee will be deducted from your refund payment.
